• The up arrow should not point below the horizontal
• Do not solder to or bend connector tabs
• Avoid lateral forces and mechanical loads (overly stiff or tight wires)
• Do not rigidly mount both ends of the connector
• Limit mounting eccentricity (runout/wobble) to .005" (.13mm)
• Provide overload protection within the circuit
• Avoid vibration and bumping motions

Because of its liquid properties, it can adapt to slip rings of different sizes. In addition, mercury has a very low resistivity of about 0.94×10⁻⁶Ω・m (at 20℃), which allows it to reduce contact resistance when forming a conductive path. In contrast, the resistivity of copper is about 1.72×10⁻⁸Ω・m (at 20℃).

When the temperature exceeds 60℃, mercury may evaporate more rapidly, causing internal pressure changes and interfering with the conductive path.
