Welding Current Earth Coupling (also known as Ground Coupling) typically appears as a bronze hollow metal disc featuring mounting holes/slots along the perimeter and welding connection points on the reverse side. This critical component functions as an electrical bridge, reliably transmitting welding current from the power source to the electrode or workpiece during extended operations.

Preliminary Preparation

Confirm whether the equipment is compatible with the transmission device, including the type of welding equipment, the model and parameters of the welding current transmission devices. Check whether the interfaces, appearance, and internal components of the two are normal.

Fix the Device Body

Fix the body of the spin welding current transmission device to the installation location with bolts, nuts, etc. If the circuit board of the welding equipment has been replaced, the interface of the circuit board should be tightly connected to other components without looseness or virtual connection.

Connect the Power and Device

Check the nameplate of the geothermal coupling to determine the power type, voltage and frequency. Connect the power cord of the welding current transmission devices to the power socket or distribution box. And connect the output end of the device to the input end of the welding equipment

Adjustment and Calibration

Choose a suitable way to connect the two, including cable connection, terminal connection, and connection of control signal lines. Generally speaking, their interfaces are clearly marked, and the signal line plug and the pins of the interface should correspond one by one when connecting.

Test and Test Run

Set the welding current size on the control panel of the welding equipment. The transmission device should match the settings of the welding equipment. In addition, we also need to adjust and calibrate parameters such as voltage, wire feed speed, pulse width, etc. Finally, check whether the linkage between the two is normal.

Matters Needing Attention

 

 

The load current is shown in the table above, and a larger current can also be customized.

During installation, do not knock on the outside of the product frequently.

It should work in a dry, dust-free environment. If the environment is harsh, protective measures should be added.

Its speed should not exceed 10RPM. If a higher speed is required, we will customize it for you.

We recommend to add lubricating oil for it with every 30,000 revolutions.

It is best to use P34 lubricant or similar products. (Resistant to high temperatures of 250~300℃).

Use flexible cables or copper braids to connect external wires.

If there is any abnormality, please contact us instead of disassembling or repairing without authorization.

    It usually takes 1 week for samples of standard models, and 2-4 weeks for bulk production(Custom designs may be longer).
  • Q: So, how do you transport the goods?
     
    We ship our slip rings globally via air freight (Door-to-Door Delivery). The estimated transit time is 3-5 working days (varies by destination).
  • Q: What is your warranty policy?
     
    All slip rings come with a 3-month free replacement warranty (covers manufacturing defects, excluding misuse damage).
  • Q: Can these devices meet my welding process requirements, such as arc welding (300A)?
     
    Yes. The common transmission current of welding current transmission devices is between 50A and 500A. This varies due to its specifications and size. Most of our models can meet the load of 300A, especially BTCS012000. Its maximum current load capacity reaches 2000A.
  • Q: What is the fluctuation range of the output current when the device transmits different currents?
     
    Taking the 200A setting as an example, the actual output current fluctuation is usually controlled within ±3A. This is because the closed-loop feedback control system is used inside the device, which can limit the fluctuation within a very small range by real-time monitoring and regulation of current.
  • Q: Do they have corresponding interfaces reserved, or do they need additional configuration?
     
    Our devices have reserved current signal acquisition interfaces and control signal interfaces. Its communication protocols mostly use common industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, etc. When using, you may need to do some simple configuration, such as setting communication parameters (baud rate, data bit, stop bit, etc.), device address, etc.
  • Q: How long does it take for us to deliver after purchase?
     
    Samples of our standard products are shipped within 1 week, and batch products are shipped within 4 weeks. The delivery time of customized products will be longer because factors such as design complexity, material selection and order quantity are taken into account. But generally speaking, the delivery time is 4-8 weeks.
