Electrical Engineering Knowledge

Our team is familiar with slip ring design, electromagnetism, power transmission, etc. We fully consider factors like electromagnetic radiation, electromagnetic induction, and electrostatic discharge during design.

Mechanical Engineering Basics

Our master mechanical mechanics and tolerance matching ,materials wearing resistance theory and they are proficient in structural design, strength and stability calculation of slip rings.

Material Science

We select the reliable materials for slip rings. Cause we are good at analyzing and predicting potential material - based problems, such as wear, deformation, and fracture.

Customized Design

The team uses tools like CAD, Altium Designer, and 3D electromagnetic models to design slip rings. We optimize the circuit layout and brush contact methods under different working conditions.

Simulation and Analysis Functions

Engineers test slip rings through electromagnetic simulation software and finite - element analysis software. They can quickly locate fault points and make improvements.

Perfect Technical Support

ByTune provides technical consultation and solutions for slip rings at any time through web - based video conferencing, remote monitoring, etc., such as commissioning support and troubleshooting.

Design & Planning

ByTune's R&D team receives customers' drawings, analyzes their different requirements for slip rings, such as application, speed, transmission channel, etc. We also consider whether these requirements are compatible with their existing systems. Then, combined with electrical engineering and mechanical design knowledge, we discuss its feasibility and confirm it.

Material Preparation

Insulating materials:
Engineering plastics: such as POM, Teflon etc., used to isolate the conductive parts and ensure insulation performance.
Contacting materials:
Silver brushes, gold rings or copper rings.
Other auxiliary materials:
Housing: SS, AL or POM.
Sealing materials: such as rubber sealing rings, to ensure the sealing performance of the slip ring.
Connecting wires: UL teflon wires
Bearing: SS ball bearings

Surface Treatment

For the fixed and rotating parts of the slip ring, we use metallic coating process to reduce friction between them. For example: chrome plating, diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, and titanium nitride (Tin) coating. These metal powders form a hard protective layer on the slip ring surface, to make it more wear-resistant. Also, the slip ring hardly oxidizes in high-temp environments, due to the high melting point of them.

Installation

● Remove the shipping cover from the new slip ring assembly.
● Have the right dimension shaft passing through the slip ring, Press the new interconnect wire guide over the slip ring and screw it into place using the provided screws. With this, the slip ring be fixed on the shaft.
● Turn the slip ring into the locked position.
● Connect the interconnect wires to the slip ring by aligning the pins on the connector with the plug on the slip ring.
● Try to rotate by hand in two directions to keep sure it is smooth.
Turn on the motor to have the shaft rotates then the slip ring inner part (rotating part) starts rotating then the outer side (stator side) keeps state.

Testing and Inspection

Only when slip rings meet the performance standards, can they maintain stability during operation. To achieve this, all our slip rings are 100% tested before packaging, such as the following:
● Visual Inspection
● Continuity Test
● Insulation Resistance Test
● Dielectric Withstand Test
● Rotation Test
